Custom Design Policy

Service scope and eligibility

Custom Design is a one-to-one service for a customer who supplies a clear garment design and garment measurements for a style or size that is not available in LuluVela’s standard assortment. The minimum is one garment. This service is separate from Team Order custom-color programs.

• LuluVela evaluates each request for feasibility, materials, construction, safety, and production capability before accepting it.
• LuluVela does not create a garment pattern from body measurements and does not provide professional tailoring or medical-fitting services.
• A request is not accepted for production until LuluVela confirms feasibility and the customer completes the required approvals.

Customer submissions and permissions

• The customer must provide an understandable design drawing, complete garment measurements, and any other information reasonably requested to evaluate and make the garment.
• The customer must own the submitted material or have permission to use it and must not submit unlawful, infringing, deceptive, unsafe, or confidential material they are not authorized to share.
• The customer remains responsible for the accuracy and completeness of the supplied design and garment measurements.

Drawing, digital representation, and revisions

The service includes one initial technical drawing and up to two drawing revisions before final approval. A sample representation is a digital rendering only, not a manufactured physical sample.

• Revisions apply to the drawing before approval; they are not alterations to a finished garment.
• A request outside the agreed design scope may require a new quote or order.
• After final approval, a later design change requires a new Custom Design order.

Approval and production

The customer must review and approve the final technical drawing, digital sample representation, garment measurements, construction details, and other stated specifications before production. Production may begin after approval.

• Normal completion is estimated at two to four weeks after final approval; this is an estimate rather than a guaranteed delivery date.
• Expedited service is not offered.
• Reasonable variations in fabric lot, screen color, construction, and handmade or manufacturing tolerances may occur and are not defects when the garment remains materially consistent with the approved specifications.

Pricing and embroidery

The current garment price and any Custom Design service charge are displayed separately in the request flow, quote, or checkout. Prices are not fixed by this policy; the final checkout or written order summary controls.

• Optional embroidery is separate and charged at the website price shown before approval.
• Custom Design and embroidery charges do not become commissionable Partner merchandise merely because they appear on the same order.
• A separate quote is required if materials, construction, or scope cannot be provided within the standard service.

Cancellation, returns, and quality issues

After the customer gives final approval and production begins, the Custom Design order cannot be changed, canceled, returned, or exchanged except for a verified quality defect, damage, LuluVela production error, or rights that cannot legally be waived.

• A fit issue caused by inaccurate or incomplete customer-supplied garment measurements is not a LuluVela production error.
• Report a suspected defect or production error promptly through Contact Us with the order number and clear photos.
• LuluVela may inspect the item and compare it with the approved specifications before providing an applicable repair, replacement, refund, or other remedy.

Design ownership and limited fulfillment license

The designer retains copyright and other rights they lawfully hold in their submitted design. Submission grants LuluVela only the limited, non-exclusive permission reasonably needed to evaluate the request, communicate about it, prepare the drawing and digital representation, produce and fulfill the customer’s order, provide support, and keep records required for security, disputes, accounting, or law.

• Submitting a request does not authorize LuluVela to sell the design publicly, use it for unrelated marketing, or make it for another customer.
• If broader customer demand exists, any LuluVela product launch, commercial license, compensation, or revenue arrangement requires a separate written agreement signed by the relevant parties.
• The Custom Design page does not promise that a submitted design will become a LuluVela product or generate compensation or income.

Confidentiality, privacy, and records

LuluVela uses submitted designs, measurements, and communications to evaluate and provide the requested service, support the order, protect the service, and meet legal obligations. We use reasonable safeguards, but a standard website submission is not a substitute for a separately signed confidentiality or nondisclosure agreement. Do not submit trade secrets or highly confidential material before any required separate agreement is in place.

• Service providers may process information only as needed to perform contracted services.
• Retention and privacy rights are governed by the Privacy Policy and applicable law.
